This is a special type of Lemongrass that was developed many years ago by the Association of Producers of Essential Oils.   This oil is a unique type in the entire world, and its characteristic is that produces oil high in Geranyl Acetate.  It has a pleasant flowery odor.

It is obtained by steam distillation of cut leaves, either fresh or semidried. It is mainly used to isolate its natural Geranyl Acetate that is present in an amount between 72 to 78%.   It has a sweet, fruity odor, of unique freshness, because of its geranyl acetate content.

It is used in the fragrance industries, and also could be used as raw material for synthesize into other important aromatic chemicals for the perfumery and flavor industries.

It grows at altitudes ranging from 500 to 1,200 ft above the sea level. The plant requires a tropical climate with abundant rain weather. Its crop is from June to December.
