CARDAMOM OIL GUATEMALA

An essential oil can be obtained through steam distillation. This oil is used to flavor tobacco, chewing gum and candies; also used in perfumery and in some blends for flavoring uses in beverages, sausages, bakery industries, confectionery, gingerbread and pickles. It finds use also in spicy tables sauces, curry preparation and in certain bitters and liqueurs.

Medically, the oil is used as warming to the body, relieves pains, it is mood uplifting, improves digestion and improves mental clarity and memory.

The plantations are located at altitudes ranging from 2,000 to 4,000 ft, in areas where the soils are fairly moist and retentive of water.

Its crop time is during September to March.
